Stainless Steel Pestle

Description:

Stainless steel pestles may be used to break open plant and yeast cells. They may be used for the resuspension of precipitated pellets. The pestle shaft measures 3.17mm (1/8") in diameter which may be hand held or mounted in a motorized grinder. The overall length of the stainless steel pestle measures 85mm (3.35") with a grooved 10mm narrow tip head for power grinding. Stainless steel pestles will last 20x longer than the standard teflon pestle.The stainless steel pestle is designed to fit 1.5ml microfuge tubes.

Polypropylene (PBTP) Pestle

Description:

The polypropylene sample pestle for 0.5ml amf 1.5ml microfuge tubes are ideal for re-suspending pellets and precipitates, and for the homogenizing of pellets. Pestles have grooved grip. They are easy to turn and do not slip. Pestles may be autoclaved.

Teflon Coated Pestle

Description:

Teflon pestles are chemically inert, resilient and autoclavable. Smooth, nonwettable surface for grinding tissue samples, resuspending proteins and DNA pellets.
Shaft measures: 5 ⁷/₈" (15 cm) x 3 mm OD.
